Introduction
This
is the third largest state in India. The main language here is Marathi. It
is assumed that Maharashtra derives its name from the charioteer (Marathi)of
the Chariot. In the past, The Buddhist, Jain and Hindu Religions were very
much prominent in Maharashtra. They left their indications in mountain caves
of Vindhya and Western Ghats. Your India Tour cannot be completed without
seeing world famous Buddhist caves in Ajanta and Hindu caves in Ellora.
Maharashtra is not only famous for its commercial and historic values but it
is also rich in natural resources. There are four National Parks and 25

segregated in two divisions, called Western Group Caves (caves 1-5) and
Eastern Group Caves (caves 6-10).They are about 1km from each other. World
famous caves of Ajanta is just 100Kms away from main city. Ellora caves are
mere 30 kms. from the city. Sahajahan's cruel and rebel son Aurangzeb,built
the Bibi-Ka-Maqbara as a mausoleum to his wife Rabia-ud-Durrani.
» Ganpatipule - It is called so because its is
believed that this is the land of Swambhu Ganapati. Set along the western
coast of Maharashtra, this place is known for it's serene beach.By road if
one is visiting Ganapatiphule then it will be a new experience for him.
Narrow roads, red soil roofed houses, clean courtyards, innumerable fruit-
bearing trees casuarinas lining the cost are creating an exotic sight. If
