Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai

Arrive
Mumbai : India's finance centre, the economic powerhouse of the nation &
the heart of Hindi film industry " Bollywood ". The islands that
now form Mumbai were first home to fisher folk as far back as the 2nd
century. The Portuguese did little to develop, the British government took
possession in 1665 & leased for 03 yrs to East India Company. Arrive &
transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Evening is free to
relax. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Day 02 : City Tour
Today after breakfast proceed on a half day city tour, visit the Prince of
Wales Museum built in grand Indo Saracenic style, Gateway of India, drive
past Marine Drive - Mumbai's most popular seaside promenade, and see the
Kamla Nehru Park & Hanging Gardens on the slopes of the Malabar hills,
offering a nice view of the marine lines and the Chowpatty beach. Visit the
Jain temple, Mani Bhawan - where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay, and the Dhobi
Ghat. Also, drive past the Flora Fountain, the colourful Crawford Market &
Victoria Terminus. Evening is free for shopping. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Day 03 : Fly Mumbai - Ahmedabad
Today transfer to airport for flight to Ahmedabad - Gujarat's major city
with a startling amount of charm - a friendly cosmopolitan, pulsing ,
dynamic, industrial metropolis, with a tangled, hectic old city, some
beautiful mosques, stunning museums, glittering night markets and Sabarmati
Ashram. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure.
Overnighty stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 04 : City Tour
After breakfast proceed on sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad visiting the
temples like the Hathsingh Temple & Swami Narayan Temple, the Baolis
(Step Wells), the Kite museum & Sabarmati Ashram - Gandhiji's
headquarters during freedom struggle. Evening is free to relax. Overnight
stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 05 : Drive Ahmedabad - Rajkot (220 Kms)
After an early breakfast drive to Rajkot - This bustling prosperous,
rapidly expanding city was once the capital of the princely state of
Saurashtra and a base for western States British Government office. Enroute
visit Virpur Temple. Late afternoon arrive & check in. Evening is free
for leisure / relax. Overnight stay in Rajkot.
Day 06 : Drive Rajkot - Somnath (189 Kms)

Early
today proceed on city tour of Rajkot visiting the temples, The Watson Museum
& Kaba Gandhi no Delo - the house where Gandhiji grew up. Later drive to
Somnath. Arrive & check in. Later visit Somnath Temple - 80 kms from
Junagadh, has been raised & rebuilt atleast 8 times. The current temple
was built to traditional designs on the original coastal site, and is a
serene, symmetrical, sinuous structure. It contains one of the 12 sacred
Shiva shrines. The temple sits on a grey - sand beach, which gives it a
lonely seaside charm. Later return to hotel & relax. Overnight stay in
Somnath.
Day 07 : Drive Somnath - Porbander (220 kms)
After breakfast drive to Porbander - On the southeast coast, between
Veraval and Dwarka, Porbandar is a friendly, small, busy town. Mahatma
Gandhi was born here, and one can visit his former house & neighbouring
shrine. Arrive & check in. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay
in Porbander.
Day 08 : Drive Porbander - Dwarka (180 kms)
After breakfast drive to Dwarka - this remote pilgrimage town is at the
extreme western tip of the Kathiawar peninsula. It is one of the four most
holy Hindu sites in India, where Krishna is said to have set up his capital
after fleeting from Mathura. Arrive & check in. Evening is free for
leisure. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
Day 09 : City Tour
After breakfast proceed for a day excursion to Bet Dwarka - Where Lord
Vishnu is to said to have slain a demon. The modern Krishna temples on the
island & deserted beach on the northern coast. Later return to Dwarka &
visit various temples like Dwarkanath Temple- dedicated to Krishna and has a
magnificient , five storey spire supported by 60 columns. Also worth a look
are the carvings of Rukmini Temple, about 01 km to the east, and the many
pillared Sabha Mandapa, reputed to be over 2500 years old, as well as the
Nageshwar Mandir, with its underground chamber, about 16 kms away. Dwarka's
lighthouse affords a beautiful panoramic view. Evening is free for leisure.

Day 10 : Train Dwarka - Ahmedabad

This
morning transfer to Dwarka railway station for train to Ahmedabad. Arrive
Ahmedabad & transfer to your hotel. Evening is free for leisure.

Day 11 : Drive Ahmedabad - Mt. Abu
After breakfast drive to Mt Abu - Is unlike anywhere else in Rajasthan. The
State's only hill station it's reached via a winding road through massive
wooden hills - the rolling Alpine slopes a revelation after so many baking
desert plains. Enroute visit the famous Ambaji Temple. Late afternoon arrive
& check in. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Mt Abu.
Day 12 : Sightseeing of Mt Abu
Morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of Mt.Abu. The beautiful landscape
around Mt. Abu is well worth exploring visit the Dilwara Temples - with the
finest, most intense marble carving that you are ever likely to see followed
by visit to Shantishikhar & Honeymoon point. Enjoy a sunset boat ride at
the Nakki Lake. Evening return to hotel & relax. Overnight stay in
Mt.Abu.
Day 13 : Departure
After breakfast transfer to Udaipur airport for flight to onwards
destination.
