Introduction
:
Uttar Pradesh is a land of different attractions. Uttar Pradesh is a
veritable heaven to the tourist and pilgrims. The gallant Himalayas to the

Agra : The land is one of the superior tourist destination, as it is the
home to the symbol of eternal love i.e Tajmahal. Presence of Tajmahal has
given this place world recognition. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built this in
memory of his beloved wife.It is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
UNESCO has designated Agra Fort as World Heritage Site. Akbar has built this
Fort in the 16th century.
» Allahabad : This city is the largest city of the
Uttar Pradesh.Uttar Pradesh is situated at the confluence of three rivers-
Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati which is also known as Triveni
Sangam and is divine to Hindus In the Pre-independence era Allahabad's
Ananda Bhavan was the residence of Jawaharlal Nehru and his daughter Indira.
In the archaeological point of view Allahabad is very important. Kahsru Bagh
is a Mughal garden, the elder son of Jahngir lies buried here. His tomb is
decorated with pictures and Persian versus. Allahabad court, Bharadwaj
Ashram, Alfred parks are some of the well known places off interest.
» Lucknow : The most Precious jewel of Uttar Pradesh
is the capital city of Lucknow. It is splendorous in its own glory. This
city of Nawabs has a sophisticated royal charm that is still untouched from
the modern roughness. It has some wonderful architectural instances of
Mughal era. The Bada Imambara is situated on the city's western side. Built
by the Iranian Architecture tis place has Bhulbhulaiya, wide court, main
hall and many things. Besides this Shahid Minner, built in he memory of the
Indian Soldiers, Chattar Manjil, Botanical garden,The Natural History
Museum, Nadan Mahal-Cities oldest Building, Kali Temple are some wonderful
places where past live with the present.
» Varanasi : One of the Oldest living city of the
world, Varanasi is divine pilgrimage for thousands of Hindus. It is the
cradle of the Indian classical culture and traditions. For its rich
conventional music, arts, crafts and education, this place is well known.
Besides temples, shrines, ashrams ghats, Banarasi Silk Saris and Silk
brocades of the city also has earned its fame all over the world. Bananas
Hindu University is one of the best universities of India.
