Chardham Yatra (14 Days)

Day 01 : Drive New Delhi - Rishikesh
Trayambakeshwar Temple - Rishikesh Arrive Delhi & drive to Rishikesh - located in the northern part of Uttar Pradesh. It is 238 km northeast of Delhi and 24 km north of Haridwar and spreads on the right banks of the Ganges, at its confluence with the Chandrabhaga stream. It is surrounded by hills on three sides and is perched at an altitude of 356 meters above sea level. The name Rishikesh is loosely applied to an association of five distinct sections encompassing not only the town but also hamlets and settlements on both sides of the river. Arrive & check in. Evening perform aarti at Trivani Ghat. Overnight stay at Rishikesh.

Day 02 : City Tour
After breakfast, proceed on city tour of Rishikesh. 12 km away from Rishikesh is located the Nilkanth Mahadeo temple at a height of about 5000 feet, commanding spectacular views of the region followed by visit Lakshman Jhula & Bharat Mata Temple. One can also visit a number of Meditation & Yoga ashrams. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
Day 03 : Drive Rishikesh - Syanachatti (190 kms)
After breakfast drive to Syanachatti & check in. Rest of the day is free to relax. Stay at Syanachatti.

Day 04 : Visit Yamunotri
Yamunotri TempleAfter an early breakfast proceed for day return trip to Syanachatti (30 kms drive & 14 kms.trek) On arrival start your day on tough trek. Arrive at Yamunotri - The Garhwal Himalayas have been blessed with some of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites and Yamunotri is one such. One of the Char Dhams according to Hindu mythology, Yamunotri is the origin of the sacred river Yamuna. Famous for its thermal springs and glaciers, it is one of the most important stopovers on the itinerary of the Hindu pilgrim. According to an old legend, Asit Muni, the revered sage, used to reside here. Arrive & perform pooja, darshan & offer prayers at temple. Later return to hotel in Syanachatti.

Day 05 : Drive Synachatti - Uttarkashi (270 kms)
After breakfast drive Uttarkashi - situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi. Arrive & check in. Evening is free for independent activities. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 06 : Visit Gangotri (100 kms)
Early this morning proceed for day trip to Gangotri - Be it man's urge to placate the Gods above or to quench his desire for adventure, Gangotri is an ideal location. The origin of the sacred river Ganges, attracts tourists in large numbers every year. The confrontation with the daunting rivers and attempts to unravel the mysteries of the supernatural world are ubiquitous sights here. Along with the thrill of conquering nature, what one experiences here is the mystical aura that India is so famous for. Arrive & perform pooja & darshan. Evening return to hotel in Uttarkashi.
Day 07 : Drive Uttarkashi - Rudrapyag (280 kms)
After breakfast drive to Rudraprayag. Arrive & check in. Evening is free for independent activities. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

Day 08 : Drive Rudraprayag - Kedarnath
Early this morning drive for Gaurikund. Drive from Guptkashi up to Gaurikund, further one way trek of 14 kms to Kedarnath - is a majestic sight, standing in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by lofty snow covered peaks. The present temple, built in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, stands adjacent to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with figures of various deities and scenes from mythology. Outside the temple door a large statue of the Nandi Bull stands as guard. After freshing up perform pooja & darshan at Shri Kedarnathji. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Day 09 : Drive Kedarnath - Rudraprayag (170 kms)
Today after breakfast drive to Rudraprayag. Arrive & check in. Evening is free to relax. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

Day 10 : Drive Rudraprayag - Badrinath (180 kms)
BadrinathToday drive to Badrinath - is considered the holiest of the four important shrines in Garhwal. The town is at an altitude of 3,133 m. above sea level, situated on the left bank of river Alaknanda and exactly between the two mountains Nara and Narayan. The shrine is dedicated to Vishnu, the preserver and falls in the religious itinerary of every devout Hindu. Perform pooja & darshan. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Day 11 : Drive Badrinath - Joshimath (70 kms)
After breakfast drive to Joshimath (70 kms). Arrive & check in. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 12 : Drive Joshimath - Haridwar
Today drive to Haridwar - is considered as the gateway to the four pilgrimages in the Uttrakhand region, The Ganga leaves the mountains and enters the plains with Haridwar being the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely nevertheless it becomes very quite and calm here. The water is clean and people prefer taking bath on the numerous ghats built on the river shores. It is said that taking bath here purifies the soul and opens the way for the ultimate freedom, Nirvana. Arrive & check in. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 13 : City Tour
After breakfast proceed on sightseeing tour of Haridwar. Visit Tapovan - on the other bank of the Ganges houses a temple to Lakshmana. It is believed that Lakshmana carried out penances here. It is also believed that his brother Bharata meditated here, and there is a temple to Bharata here. Also seen here are the Swargashram and the Geeta Bhavan temples. The Lakshman Jhula - a 450 feet long suspension bridge was built in 1939. A newer bridge the Ram Jhula has been added recently. The Ganga abounds in fish. Offerings of puffed rice are made to these creatures. The freshness of the air, and sound of flowing water, the scenic beauty of the region and the distant sound of bell chimes create an unforgettable experience for those that visit this ancient pilgrimage town. Evening assemble at Har-ki-pauri when the river comes alive with flickering flames as floating offerings are released on the Ganges. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Day 14 : Departure Transfer
After breakfast transfer to New Delhi airport (230 kms) for flight to onward destination.
