Introduction
Gujarat
is dotted with many beautiful and colourful places. Its lavish green
forests, cascades, plains hill ranges and exotic traditional villages all
give panoramic view of the Indian life. The second-most industrialized state
after Maharashtra is much known as the perfect blend of traditional and
modern life styles. Gujarat is one the most flourishing states in India. In
spite of its dying textile industry some of the world's best dress materials
are still found only in Gujarat. Its rich culinary expertise can be seen in
the different delicious Cuisines which includes Dhokla, Khandavi, Khaman,
Khakhara, Shakkarpara, Muthia, Bajri Vada and Bajri Dhebra. Outside Africa
Gujarat is also the one and only place where fast disappearing Asiatic Lions
resides in their natural abode. If any one want to visit Gujarat there will

Archaeologists find that Gujarat was the base of Indian Civilization even

» Ahmadabad - As the former capital of Gujarat and
the Textile Capital of India Ahmadabad is a important city. It is place
where one will find a multilingual, and multiracial society. This sixth
largest city of the country also known for its association with the father
of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. !15th centuries Indo-Saracenic style of
architectures are worth of seeing.
» Junagadh - Situated in the Former Saurashtra this
city is rich with myths, fables and folklore. It was the capital of several
dynasties of rulers such as Mauryas, Greeks, Kshtrapas and Guptas. Junagadh
Fort in Junagadh is an attractive tourist destination. Due to the proximity
of the Gir forest one can see here lions are roaming freely. Junagadh is the
abode of famous Gujarati saint-poet, Narsimha Mehta. Ancient temples,
museums, palaces and caves- every monument will remind you of the grandeur
of the Nawabs who once ruled Junagadh. The Girnar Temple and the famous rock
edicts of Ashoka are two popular attractor.
» Gandhinagar - Situated on the west bank of the
Sabarmati river,Gandhinagar, is India's second well planned city after
Chandigarh. In order to reform states based on language then Bombay had been
remade as Maharashtra Gujarat in 1960.Temporarily Ahmadabad became the
capital Of Gujarat,But in 1965 in the name of the Gandhiji,Gandhinagar- anew
capital of Gujarat had been developed. Bithal Bhai Patel Bhawan or Assembly
house enclosed by the lake is unique. Narmada Bhawan, Sardar Bhawan are
unparallel. Sarita Udyan is an ideal picnic spot. There is also a Deer park
near it. Akshardham or the Cultural Complex is a new attraction to the city.
Swaminaraynan Temple also attracts tourist with its luster.
» Vadodara /Baroda - Today's Vadodara city has gone
repeatedly under change of name. Former Baroda has now become Vadodara which
means banyan tree. In the long past this place was known as the Birkshetra
or Birabati. From the very beginning of the civilizations Baroda's air is
full of art and cultural achievements. The Contribution of the Vadodara
Gharana in Indian Classical Music is really Great.

For the Holidays Gujarat can be very good option. The famous Gir National
Park,is situated in Gujarat. This is home to the famous Asiatic lions.
Blackbuck National Park (Bhavnagar), Vansda National Park (Navsari) and
Marine National Park (Jamnagar) are the other national parks. Besides this
national parks there are 21 wildlife sanctuaries as well can be found in
Gujarat. Gujarat offers a exciting view of wild life. For the spiritual
minded people Somnath, Palitana, Dwarka, Modhera Sun Temple,ISKCON Temple
