Udaipur is also known as the Jewel of Mewar. This place was founded by
Maharajah Jai Singh in 16th century. In spite of being surrounded by the
desert its is situated in the lap of the Aravalli hills. It is considered to
be one of the most romantic places of India. Elegant palaces, temples and
havelis flank the shores of lake. In the centre of the lake there is

Shekhawati. Shekhawati or the “Garden of the Shekha” is a semi
arid area. This fascinating area of lies in the north-eastern Rajasthan .It
is flanked from three sides by Jaipur,Delhi and Bikaner. Its special Marwari
built havelis' still cast a spell to the viewers.

The major attraction of Shekhawati is its 18th and 19th century's
enchanting painted havelis, glorious forts,beautifully crafted temples,
house, wells and cenotaphs. Its open art gallery brings the past glory and

another place to watch..This fort is built in a typical Rajputana style has
